Stress can cause your muscles to tense. Extended periods of muscle tension can lead to aching muscles or the tension may extend to other areas of the body e.g. shoulder and neck tension can lead to headache.

Close your eyes and see if you can feel any tension in your muscles. Try to consciously let the muscles relax. Greater levels of tension can be relieved by tensing the muscles in the effected area for 10 seconds and then slowly let the muscles relax. Benefit –physical wellbeing, calm alertness, energy and vitality.
