Exercise and Flexibility

Participating in regular physical activity can help us live healthier, stronger and longer with more energy and vitality for higher performance and a better quality of life.

We understand everybody has a different level of fitness and exercise capability. Our exercise programs provide the flexibility required for various levels of fitness and athletic ability from the novice to the more experienced. You can choose where you want to start with your own goals in mind.

We will provide you with training guidelines, programs, monitoring procedures and self measurements to ensure you gain the maximum benefit from your exercise routine.

There is an established link between regular physical activity and the lowered risk in developing certain diseases and conditions.

Aerobic exercise can help:

  • Reduce elevated blood pressure and the risk of developing high blood pressure.
  • Improve blood fats; Exercise increases the concentration of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol (the "good" cholesterol) and decreases the concentration of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol (the "bad" cholesterol) in your blood.
  • Reduce the risk of stroke and coronary artery disease [heart attack]; improving blood fats results in less build up of plaques in the blood vessels. Deposits of plaques in the blood vessels leading to the brain can result in a stroke.
  • Strengthen the heart muscle and improve the efficiency of the heart, increasing the blood flow to all parts of your body.
  • Build strong bones.
  • Manage your weight.
  • Feel better, calm you down and enjoy a better quality of life.
  • Provide time for creativity.
  • Distract you from your normal daily pressures.
  • Promote a good night’s sleep.
  • Improve balance and co-ordination.

Your body is an amazing and complex machine that will get stronger and more efficient as it adapts to a regular exercise program.
