Peter Cullen
Principal Consultant

Peter’s comprehensive knowledge and outstanding training abilities are derived from the essential skills he learned and developed from his experience within the international aviation industry between 1975 and 2006. His most recent appointments included two of the best airlines in the world; Singapore Airlines and Thai Airways International.

 

Peter’s abilities and knowledge were developed over 31 years in positions such as frontline customer service, sales, advertising, marketing and management. These abilities and knowledge were further developed with internal training which included Customer Relations, Managing Change, Management Psychology, Conflict Management, Presentations and Public Speaking. During this time he engaged in external studies to further his professional development and progression within the aviation industry. These studies included Business Management, Marketing and Training & Assessment.

Peter’s expertise was also recognised in 2007 by the iconic Queensland newspaper The Courier Mail when they invited him to write a weekly column named Balancing Act for the Career One section of their Saturday edition which has a readership of over 850,000. Peter wrote nearly 80 columns over an 18 month period.

 

His real life experiences are reflected in his outstanding ability to communicate clearly and professionally to all levels of the corporate environment in a genuine and practical manner. He is passionate about his training which is delivered in an open, interactive way that engages and supports all participants in a positive and productive manner. Peter is equally comfortable with private training, small groups or conference presentations to large audiences.

Lisa Winter
B.A. Hons. (Psych), M. Org. Psych

Lisa is a registered Organisational Psychologist with 12 years experience in the consulting profession. Her experience includes consulting in the areas of organisational change, wellbeing, leadership, conflict management and facilitation. She has worked in the private, public and tertiary education sectors in a broad range of industry categories providing advice at shop floor level through to senior management. Lisa values interventions that result in real change and individual learning.

Lisa’s expertise and achievements include:

• Facilitated training programs for staff: “High Energy Teams”, “Making a Difference through
Relationships”, “Maintaining Vitality in Times of Pressure”, “Innovation and Change” and “Managing Conflict Effectively”
• Facilitated programs for leaders: “Emotional Intelligence for Leaders”, “Leading Change”, and “Managing Challenging Behaviour”
• Facilitated “Leadership Breakthrough” – a six month public leadership program that enables leaders to engage and motivate their staff
• Conducted cultural and wellbeing audits to make recommendations for workplaces to emotionally engage their staff and enhance their wellbeing
• Provided leadership development and behavioural change coaching
• Conducted conflict management and teambuilding for teams or individuals in conflict

Brian Hopley
M.Appl.Sc. (Exercise Physiology), B.P.E., AAESS Accreditation (Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation Exercise Physiology), Dip RM, C.S.C.S., C.H.E.K. Level II.

Brian Hopley has been involved in sports science, coaching, training and sports management for over twenty-five years. Brian’s reputation as a highly qualified professional is a result of his dedication to the pursuit of excellence in sport. Brian is a specialist in the field of coaching and training elite athletes as individuals, groups or teams and is equally qualified to assist people at various levels of athletic ability.

Brian’s key achievements include:
• Sports Physiologist for the Australian Rugby Union and World Cup Wallabies 1991 & 1995.
• Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, Tongan Rugby Team for Rugby World Cup 2007
• National Program Manager AIS Canoe/Kayaking
• Head Strength and Conditioning Coach NSW Waratahs
• Training Consultant for Michelle Martin, World Champion Squash Player 1993 to 1996, and
Commonwealth Games Dual Gold Medallist 1998.
• Training Consultant for Melinda Gainsford-Taylor 2000 Olympian.
• Training Consultant for Maria Despas, Winter Olympian 2002.
• Brian has consulted to many other successful teams, individuals, sporting groups, clubs and centres

Liz Broad
B.Sc., Dip. Nut. Diet, MAppSc, PhD. Level 3 Anthropometrist

Liz has a wealth of national and international experience which includes management and dietitian roles in Olympic, World Cup and National sports events with some of Australia’s greatest teams and individuals.

The solid foundations of Liz’s professional career commenced in a regional hospital and community health centre in Tasmania. It wasn’t long before Canberra became her home as she was a sports dietitian at the AIS, including a year-long stint as Acting-in-charge of the Nutrition department. It was from here Liz broadened her role as sports dietitian to many of our National teams which now have international success.

Liz’s key achievements include:
• Currently; Sports Nutrition Consultant to Powerade Australia

• Menu coordinator; rowing & canoe/kayak subvillage Olympic Games 2000
• Managed the technical operations for the Australian Slalom Canoe Team for the Olympic Games 2000
• Dietitian; Australian men’s & women’s Water Polo teams 1998 World Championships
• Sports Science/Medicine Coordinator for Australian Canoeing 1997-2000
• Dietitian; Matildas World Cup campaign 1995
• Liz has consulted to many other successful national teams and individuals
